Cardio Clowns is private by design: there are no accounts, no ads, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no data brokers. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes.
With your permission, Cardio Clowns reads your daily step count from Apple Health. Step counts are used to power your group leaderboard and history. We never write to Apple Health, and we never use health data for advertising or share it with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health.
When you create or join a group, your display name, avatar, country flag, daily step counts, and any messages or reactions you send are synced through Apple iCloud (CloudKit) so members of your group can see them. This data is visible only to people who have your group code. Leaving a group stops sharing your steps with it.
To understand which features people use and improve the app, Cardio Clowns records basic engagement events (for example, which screen was opened or which button was tapped) together with a random device identifier, app version, and platform. These events are stored in our own iCloud (CloudKit) database. They contain no advertising identifiers, are not linked to your name or contact details, and are never sold or shared with third parties.
cardioclowns.com counts page views so we can see how many people reach the site and the invite page. The measurement is cookieless: no cookies, no browser storage, no cross-site identifiers, no fingerprinting, and no advertising. It measures pages, not people, and nothing collected here is linked to your app data or sold to anyone.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. See our Terms of Use for subscription terms.
Group and analytics data is retained while you use the app. You can leave a group at any time to stop sharing your steps, revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings, or email us to have your data removed entirely.
Cardio Clowns is made for families. The app collects no contact information and requires no account, from children or anyone else. Group participation is controlled by whoever shares the group code — typically a parent or family member.
