Create a group, share a 6-character code, and every step you take becomes ammunition in a daily battle for the crown. All you need is an iPhone — no Apple Watch required, no accounts, no feeds full of strangers. Just your people, a live leaderboard, and the perfect excuse to take the stairs.
Every day is a fresh competition. Steps sync automatically from Apple Health on your iPhone, the leaderboard updates live, shows exactly how many steps you need to pass the person ahead of you — "Almost there! +312 to pass Mom" — and crowns a daily winner 👑 for the whole group to see. Or resent.
Long-press anyone on the leaderboard to send a playful message — and the app knows the situation. Up by 1,000 steps? "Stay down there 😏" About to get caught? "Don't choke now 👀" Fire off a quick emoji reaction, pick from a library of nearly 200 reaction GIFs, or write your own message. It's the group chat energy fitness apps are missing.
Every member of your group is a 7-day matchup: win–loss records, win streaks (🔥 W3), an animated tug-of-war rope showing who's pulling ahead, and stats like your biggest blowout and your most painful loss. You're not chasing an abstract goal — you're settling a score with your brother.

Your privacy is important to us. Cardio Clowns is designed to share as little as possible: just your step count, with just your group. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
In short: Cardio Clowns has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Your daily step count and display name are shared only with the members of the group you join, so the leaderboard works. That's it.
Cardio Clowns collects only what the game needs to run:
With your permission, Cardio Clowns reads your daily step count from Apple Health. Step data is used solely for the group leaderboard and head-to-head matchups. We never write to Apple Health, and we never share health data with third parties.
To keep your group's leaderboard live across devices, your daily step total, your display name, and your country flag (if you set one) are stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). That's the whole list. We don't run our own servers and have no database of our own — Apple hosts the data, and only members of your group can read it. Leaving a group removes you from its leaderboard, and deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
Cardio Clowns does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data brokers.
Cardio Clowns is designed for families. The app collects no personal information beyond a chosen display name and step counts, requires no account, and shares data only within private groups joined by invitation code. The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
If we ever update this privacy policy, changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
You can leave a group at any time to stop sharing your steps, revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings, or contact us to have your data removed entirely.
